I think we all want to see a picture of it now! :)

I don't know what its resonant frequency is.

I put a ruler into the picture for scale.

Example of a suit based on a waistcoat. Note the lapels-these are a framing device, to draw your attention to a tie.

A neat and well proportioned outfit. At first I thought it was a dress with black on black but enough dynamic range to pick up the bottom of the vest.

I have noticed that a number of people are interested in some sort of skirt suit for men. Stevie's outfit shows that this may be a fruitful endeavor.

A bandanna, I believe, could go well with a tie-less suit. Scroll down to the Lone Ranger. The red bandanna adds a vivid splash of color to an otherwise dull outfit. Also, the way it is tied-knot off center, to the side of the neck-results in a rakish appearance.

The bandanna in this image also offers another option. If the Lone Ranger should switch to a life of crime, he can use the bandanna to hide the lower half of his face

A bandana -- aka a "Donny Mask" from the first big COVID epidemic? I'll pass. I had enough of that nonsense from 2019 to 2021.

One might consider going a bit old-school and go with an ascot or a cravat.

Thanks to Susie's good influence I now have a burgeoning scarf collection, many of which would do admirably as either.

That's a good solution, too. I have an absolutely beautiful one that I've never had the guts to wear -- silk with beaded peacocks on it. I've probably posted a picture of it a long time ago (I bought in pre-COVID during the summer to wear as a shawl because the Indians that ran the office-building I was in regarded being cold as a status symbol. Being cold to a New Englander is a hardship. Sadly, every place has adopted the habit of turning the A/C on so high that indoor temperatures reach bone-chilling levels -- so now we get to be cold all year 'round instead of just during winter. I've just taken to wearing my fleece jacker 365 days a year now, and the only time I'm without it is if I'm outside during the warm months, and I don't think the beadwork on my scarf/shawl would much like the over-layer (which would also hide the splendour of it).

Thought about it, and reached the conclusion that there is a stark clash between formality and informality. It just doesn't work. This clash also applies to the idea of wearing sneakers with a suit. Just...forget it.
