Bearded Ladies

Post by FranTastic444 »

I first came across this trio via Instagram, but they also have their own website as well.

They are being very candid about the fact that they are in startup mode and as a result their prices are high. They have a pre-order arrangement in place, but only a couple of orders in the bag so I doubt that this venture will get off the ground in its current format. I like the look of the Pinny, but I don't like the look of the rest of their range (I could possibly warm to the Seattle, at a push).

For those of you (like me) who are brave / stupid enough to venture into the realms of Instagram, they have a lot of videos posted where they talk amongst themselves and also interview a variety of people about fashion.

Good to see more folks trying, but they really need to do a Kickstarter or something. They are waiting for more orders to actually start making clothes, so I think they might never get off the ground, unfortunately.

Yeah, seen them on IG and gave them a follow, some of their videos are interesting to watch and I do want to support ventures like this in whatever little way possible. I also quite like the pinny, but I would rather it was not denim I think but I can warm to that. They are out of my price point unfortunately, especially with with EU/Swedish import tariffs. I could maybe make one similar from all the old pairs of jeans we have lying around the house.

I thought I'd give this post a bump.

BL are currently trying to sell 20 of their Pinny dresses to stay in business by the end of march. Unfortunately its way out of my price range, £200 plus ~£50 shipping and then 25% import VAT once it arrives here with some admin fees. But maybe our UK members might find the price a little more reasonable or have the extra income to support them.

Last I heard they have sold 5 so far, so 15 more to go before they can send the fabric off to the factory.
