wearing a skirt or kilt in nepal

Does anybody have any experience wearing a skirt or kilt in Nepal. I am going there next month and plan on bringing a long insulated skirt and an Elkmondo kilt. thanks

I haven't but it is a place I would like to visit, so when you return, please tell us of your experience.

No advice but given the worldwide spread of the "Kilt", I'd doubt there would be a problem.

I would guess that it would be fairly accepting, though it is just a guess, based on some of the tunic type Indian style clothing on some of the men. Some of the styles are effectively a dress over loose pants.

The Elkomando would be readily understandable to them, I would think, the long skirt? <shrug> Please let us know how it goes, I have no certainty to offer on the matter so don't take this as advice, just an opinion.

You're probably going to stand out as a crazy Western tourist anyway, so you may as well dress as you like.

I've never been there but my impression is that it's a fairly open place.
