Found this Facebook link to a Man-skirt day in LA - but men around the world are also invited!

Strange collection of photos there, many of the photos seen on the forum look a whole lot more natural than anything seen on that site.

Just a thought!

Yeah, this one seems reasonable:

but the rest are typical supposed haute couture.

I don't expect I would make it to LA, but I will certainly plan to spend the day skirted around Wilmington. Maybe I can spread a few flyers beforehand too, see who comes out of the woodwork.
As a matter of fact, the sun DOES shine out of my ...

We don't have any subways in Phoenix, but we do have light rail. I'm inclined to take a ride that day but I'm not sure how much a difference it'd make. There'd have to be an organized group, all traveling together, with advance notice to the local media.

Not encouraging. When I read part of the article to MOH all I got back was "Go to LA or London then." So no support for any proposition to wear a skirt in support of this. Case closed as far as she is concerned.

I couldn't dream of actually going but I'd love to, just for the chat if nothing else.

I ma not keen on big public évents such as this, since the appearance of participants si likely to be so varied (from masculine to faux-femme) that wewould most Likel'y be perceived as a bunch of clowns rather than as ordinaire people showing whatever they béliève to be right. I hâve nô wish to be part of à carnaval parade.
in public I think we should try to pût over à serious image, as we would if we were in theworkplace.

Usually Facebook 404s me or throws other errors because I'm "not logged in". Well, no kidding clowns; I'm not logged in for a reason -- I haven't jumped, lemming-like, onto the Facebook wagon.

When it comes to "social media" it's either here or over at LinkedIn where I maintain a very professional countenance and don't say a bit about skirts because it'd be distracting to the observer.

In any event, I'm glad to see "events" like these brought to the fore, but I suspect that just heading out the front door in the morning so attired has just as big an effect.

It's a shame I shan't be able to wear a skirt that day because I shall be leading a canal work party. Skirts and bonfires don't mix very safely.

I shall make up for it during the previous week, when I shall be wearing a kilt or a skirt for four days in a row at a local folk festival. It caused a few comments the first time I wore a longish skirt whilst setting up heavy P.A. gear, but most of the regular festival-goers have got used to the idea now.

Where do you all get the idea that it's the 1st June for the skirt wearing day? The link that I've just looked at says 31st May. Incidentally I am at Butlins ( a holiday camp type place ) that weekend with my family so don't think the opportunity will arise, much to my disappointment.
