Yesterday, for the first time I was invited into their house. They know I wear skirts, they've seen me in them a lot, and when the wife asked me if I'd like to come inside to chat, I didn't hesitate and said "sure"... I walked in the front door and went into shock. The husband was wearing trousers, as usual, a shirt, as usual...but...he was hanging upside down from the ceiling. She said to him, Skip's here, he answered with a muffled Mummphhmump and smiled as best as he could. I'd still not moved or said anything. I mean, how many times have you ever walked into a 10 years neighbor's front room and seen the guy hanging from the ceiling, gagged, tied up, fully dressed as if he was just back from the store? His feet were tied together, as were his legs, and his arms and hands were tied behind his back in what looked like a really uncomfortable way. I passed on the coffee and went home immediately. As soon as I got in my door I called a friend in the Dispatch office at the Sheriffs dept. I told her what I'd seen. ..... She said, Oh they do that all the time, you never saw him walking around his yard with his hands behind his back before?? I said, well sure but I didn't know they were tied there.
Anyway, I guess it's old hat with them, it's not against the law according to my dispatch friend and according to her, lots of people do stuff like that. Neighbors....
