As I’m overweight I have difficulty buying men’s jeans or trousers in my UK waist size 44. However, I have no problems finding my size in the women's clothes department. I’m a size 20, 22 and 24 when it comes to dresses, skirts and leggings and those sizes are readily available even in high street shops. The only exception is I have problems buying tights in my size as they only go to size XL in high street shops.
My name is Arty. I’m a guy with a passion for wearing skirts, dresses and tights and a hobbiest musician and artist. 8)

Many of my large friends use Snag tights https://snagtights.com/collections/all- ... o8QAvD_BwE They also sell clothes for larger sizes.

When I have been wearing my 80d purple stockings, three times women have claimed that I was wearing Snag purple tights. To be fair there are a range of coloured tights on the site and one is indeed purple.
Daily, a happy man in a skirt...

If anything, I'd expect men's demand to be for pockets! Despite years of wearing skirts, I still find pockets are what I miss most.
Faldaguy, I think you are correct. Given that women normally have wider hips than a man, if you find a skirt that will fit you round the waist, the rest will just normally work.

As for pockets, when I started wearing skirts I was of the opinion that all my skirts would have to have pockets. However, I have found that skirts I work in, do need pockets. But skirts I wear when not at work, don't need pockets, since I now have handbags.
I concur that work' skirts are readily found with pockets (think denim jeans with no crotch) but the more dressy, fun, colorful skirts often do not have pockets. Those can be supplemented with a handbag -- but dang it, I can set a hand bag down, but I can't leave my pockets behind! :P

Typically my daily choice of attire is made with a fleeting thought to my expected activities of the day and more to the weather and my mood -- so often I find myself wearing something fun, colorful, or 'just in your face' if I'm feeling a bit rebellious and then when something more mundane arises like a quick task in my shop or moving some furniture comes along, I disregard what I'm wearing and my skirts get employed in inappropriate activities with concordant abuse so I'm missing pockets to stick wrenches, extra keys, or a box of screws!

I have found a few very nice, dressy, colorful, quality skirts that do have pockets (often well hidden) & they have become favorites, but I suspect many men would find most skirts still marketed now without pockets to be a frustration, so I stand by the notion that "if skirts are to be come common for men" they will want pockets! Meantime, send me some memory pills so I don't leave my handbag on the shelf beside the hats I was checking out!

I so much agree, slide pockets like in pants, not the exaggerated macho cargo pockets found on most utility kilts. And they should, of course, be deep enough, like in men’s pants, not the tiny, useless pockets, which we know from most women’s skirts, shorts, and jeans.
By the way, the pockets you can order the American Sport Kilt to come with, are perfect.

There ARE viable alternatives to trousers.
