Re: Advantage of a Dress
I bought myself a new dress for Christmas (green cord shirt dress), but I've been deep in family visits and so trousered (or occasionally kilted) for much of the holidays, so I'm saving up the dress as a New Year's treat.

Noticed that this length looked good on a man (I believe it was Stevie). I think this length would be fairly practical.Uncle Al wrote: ↑Thu Dec 26, 2024 4:32 am When wearing a dress, I make sure it is mid-calf in length. When I
bend over/down, I don't have to worry about anything 'riding up'
If I were to bend at my knees, I'ld never be able to get back up.
Plus, when sitting down, I have adequate protection between
me and what I'm sitting on.

I like to wear maxidresses so that I can ware calf length hosiery instead of thigh length or pantyhoses.

Re: Advantage of a Dress
Dresses also seem to be easier to make look coherent vs a separate top and bottom, because the designer can easily create a consistent visual line in the silhouette, and there is no issue with top length and tops ending in visually awkward places.
