Two more skirts up for grabs!

Post by WSmac »

Hello everyone!
I'm going through more of my personal belongings and I have two skirts available to you in exchange for the cost of shipping.
I see Mugman posted a nice pic of the sportkilt I sent him... looks a whole lot better on him than it did on me! :D

So, here's what I have...
-- these pictures were taken today --

Special Note:
The first skirt fits me pretty tight and the second one is actually a tiny bit loose feeling such that I would definitely wear a belt with it. My usual American pants size is a 36 waist. I am 6'2" tall and around 214lbs... not braggin'... just mentioning it for reference! :P

1 - Custom made 'formal' skirt from Thailand. Black, with matching cloth belt. A while back (probably in the ole Tom's Cafe days) I saw a link for this person on ebay who was offering men's skirts. I paid something like $46 (USD) for it and it arrived in fine shape. I even wore it out a few times. I do not dress up often, and during my 'gender-search' period I put most of my guy stuff away. Although I wound up back in permanent guy-mode (TMI for this particular thread  ), I won't be wearing this skirt any more... if only because of the size-enhancement my girth has gone through - age, eating, and less activity...

So here's a picture.. ask questions if you like.
waist - 36 (I measured side-to-side with it lying flat - 18 x 2)
length - 42"
It's a nice soft synthetic material, with two small clasps at the waistband, and a zipper up front. There are two back pockets - more for looks than function, it seems. This skirt has a slit in the front also, which helps when walking.

2 - A Genuine, 'Vintage', 'Rare', 'Hard-to-Find', 'No Longer Made', 'One of Only a Few Made', 'In "Like New" Condition'......
.............................Image.........................
.....................................................................................................................
Yesiree Ladies and Gents...err... mostly Gents... For one thin dime... two nickels... ten pennies... 1/10th of a dollar! This could be yours!
plus cost of shipping. some exclusions may apply. Void where prohibited by... whatever... It's actually been worn a few times and washed appropriately so it's not exactly 'new'.

This skirt boasts: Blue Cotton Denim material, Logo on back right pocket, front & back pleat, pockets you can actually use,
large belt loops (I always wore my 2" UK belt with this, but you could change out the loops for a different size/number/spacing).
Dan really knew (knows?) how to make a good skirt for men and this is a fine example of that.

----------------------------
--------------------------------------

Now, I know what you're thinking... "WSmac is really going to just give these away?

YES!

Although... if you would like to pass on something else along with the shipping... say...
some local item of interest (non-perishable food, no beer  ), local music, an analog or digital delay pedal,
a Marshall stack... or two... or three...
Image
this is not me in the picture.. unfortunately

or......

perhaps just a fender telecaster... heck.. I'd even accept one of those 'RoadWorn' Fenders -
Image
You get the idea.... LOL

Seriously, I'll let these go just for the cost of shipping. I do not wear them anymore and I'm still having a difficult time finding Loggers or Dairymen in my area who are willing to go skirt-native in public. Other than a couple of people in UK's and a sarong or two, I'm pretty much the only skirt-wearing guy in Humboldt County, California. :(

What I need from you is an address to ship to and I can get you the shipping cost by pm later.
I'd rather send one skirt to one person so there will be two people with new skirts, but I may wind up sending both to one person.
I have taken good care of these, and they are in fine shape.
I hope a couple of folks here will answer up and later on post a pic of them enjoying their new attire.
I will ship overseas and I do consider this a gift, so any customs form will be marked as such.
I will be checking in here all this week to see who's interested.
For those of you who have lost their jobs... I'd bump you up in line just so you can have at least one good thing happen in light of the job loss.

Hmmm... that's about it.

I can see the denim skirt pics, the wall of speakers and guitarist pic and the guitar pic but I get an x image box where the thailand skirt would be and at the very bottom of the post. Anyone else have this problem??
I had to remove this signature as it was being used on Twitter. This is my OPINION, you NEEDN'T AGREE.

Thanks for the tip Skip!

Here's the little guy at the bottom of the post...

If this doesn't work, then I'm not sure what's going on. Let me know and I'll dup' the pics in my imageshack album then post a link here.
I use Camino for my web browser and I see all the pics just fine.

Okay, I'll move these over to my imageshack account and see if they work better from there.
Gotta run, but I'll be on it later today.
Sorry about the images.

Hiya R1g0r,

As I mentioned above, I'm just looking for the cost of shipping, so I need to know the country and zip/postal code I will be sending it/them to.
I'm working on the pics now.

r1g0r,
yes, I do use paypal for things like ebay.
I haven't accepted payments to my account before, so this will be new to me.

I'll take the skirts down to the post office tomorrow and get the cost for shipping to your zip.
So far you are the only person who wants them.

Can you see the pics yet? I reposted them using my imageshack account instead of my picasa account.
If you can't see them, let me know and I'll email you the pics.

Thanks
Mark

hey mac, if you've emailed me in the last 48 hours or so, please try again. my email has been having fits. sorry. do you have a shipping cost yet?

also... i do have something to offer you. non-material, but interesting.

my sons have put up a website for their films. all amateur, non-pornographic. written/directed/produced/editted/starring: THE GRIEM BOYS (adam & jesse)!

http://www.griementertainment.com/

their earliest works are on there, and their latest "Sins of Strangers" is going to be up there soon. SoS is their first full-length movie, about 1.5 hours long.

i'll also post this up seperately.
