RainSkirts
Hello friends,
My friend Libby, Asked me," Do you know if it's OK to post offers (like the 20% off coupon) on
Skirtcafe? I don't want to offend anyone, but a lot of people were
interested a while back (and again, I lost all the emails in a computer
crash)."
Please feel free to share the 20% off coupon--anyone is eligible to
use it. Also, if you would like to occasionally receive discount
emails in the future, please sign up at http://www.rainskirts.com
I hope I'm not breaking a rule here but all I wish to do is help Libby, with so many stores closing now days.

No rule was broken. Occasional announcements from folks who manufacture skirted garments for men are welcome so long as they don't swamp the general traffic.HIGHLANDER1 wrote:I hope I'm not breaking a rule here but all I wish to do is help Libby, with so many stores closing now days.

The one on the cover is nice, a bit bigger than I use. I don't "join" sites unless I have a very good reason and I know them for a long time, so I guess I'll just have to lose out on seeing all the wonderful skirts you have.
I had to remove this signature as it was being used on Twitter. This is my OPINION, you NEEDN'T AGREE.

A Canadian company has been making something very similar for a couple of years:

Re: RainSkirts
My wife and I have Libby's Rain Wraps, and I can give them my complete approval! We got them especially for a trip to Scotland last April. The ability to quickly take them out, wrap around the waist and go without having to remove boots or shoes, made dealing with changeable weather very convenient. They are a tad pricey, but the quality appears to be top-notch. We have used them a few times back home, but around here, if it rains a tenth of an inch, it is a downpour! The rain skirts worked well even while hiking, as long as one wasn't scrambling up a steep trail. Lifting the hem on occasion was not problem.
On a related note, we packed very light for the trip, and my main below-the-waist clothing was a nylon knee-length skirt. I did get a few stares, and the occasional double-take, but never had a negative comment. When the weather was cool or rainy, adding a pair of tights was all that was needed to be warm and comfortable. So for those of you who hesitate to venture forth skirted, go for it! While I don't post as much as I should, I do enjoy all the comments and exchanges on this forum. Good work!

Re: RainSkirts
For men who are always out and about in skirts it sure looks like a winner. I would sure like to have a good rain skirt myself, as I do not have a car anymore and go everywhere on my bicycle, except when it is pouring rain...

A man is the same man in a pair of pants or a skirt. It is only the way people look at him that makes the difference.
