Anyone Else Like Leggings?
Anyone Else Like Leggings?
I love leggings! It's awesome they make men's leggings nowadays. I swear by DSG men's cold weather athletic leggings!
1. Leggings are oh so smooth. It's like butter on your legs. It's a second skin!
2. Leggings are so very soft. Unlike most other pants, no inseam digging into your crotch!
3. Leggings are so breathable. Warm in the winter yet cool in the summer.
4. Leggings feel clean. They wick sweat away, so your inner thigh isn't sweaty. And they're easy to wash and quick-dry.
5. Leggings are compact. You just roll them up and you can pack four or five of them in the space that one pair of jeans would occupy.
6. Leggings are so cute. Imagine wearing green leggings with red short shorts on top and a pair of chestnut uggs. You'd totally look like an elf!
7. Leggings are so colorful. DSG alone makes purple, pink, yellow, orange, and red leggings--for men. Like where else besides leggings is menswear as colorful as womenswear?
8. Wearing a short skirt but don't want to shave? Wear leggings as tights underneath! It feels like you shaved your legs!
And I just love pinching the seams of my leggings with my fingers, letting it go, and feeling the leggings snap back against my thighs. So very satisfying!
I remember in university, at the gym, guys would wear leggings just as often as girls. There was a couple across my street and both the guy and woman would wear leggings--such a lovely way to match outfits!

Re: Anyone Else Like Leggings?
Having had a couple of pairs of long running tights (men's, so not very tight), I recently bought my first pair of proper men's leggings. Very happy with them, and already eying up more on the Internet, but the range of patterns available may tempt me to the other side of the aisle.

I wear leggings often for comfort, they are fantastic and practical. Only minus is no pockets but as I wear skirts I'm used to that.
Re: Anyone Else Like Leggings?
I regularly wear Leggings, I have quite a few from various sources some are athletic ones and some are Fashion Leggings from Torrid. Today is a cold weather day so I opted for Fashion leggings and a fashion plenum top.

A full time skirt wearer since 2020.

Haha no, I'd personally never wear those fashion leggings!
I'm sticking with men's workout leggings. Everytime I buy men's leggings, I'm telling companies to make more men's leggings. If I buy women's leggings then companies won't know.
Besides, men's leggings are readily available in colors from boring black/grey to flamboyant pink, purple, and yellow. And athletic leggings are perfectly acceptable to be worn as tights under a knee-length skirt in any workplace that'd let you wear a skirt anyways.
Re: Anyone Else Like Leggings?
I met a man in a pub recently, who's main clothing fascination was leggings. His back story was very similar to mine and we chatted for a couple of hours about what we liked to wear and why. We had both made the clothes we were wearing and we discussed the ins and outs of garment construction.
Crazy how our lives had led us both to be sitting in a London pub dressed head to toe in latex!!!

Daily, a happy man in a skirt...

Re: Anyone Else Like Leggings?
I’m afraid I’m not in the Leggings camp. I don’t like them. They are a halfway house between opaque tights and trousers, but for me they neither have the marvellous feel of tights or the practicality of trousers.
Each to their own tastes though, and I certainly have no issue with those who wear them.

A very good point!
This also goes for skirts. If possible, buy skirts designed and positioned for men rather than women's skirts, even if the male skirts cost a few dollars, pounds or euros more.
Only if we prove to the fashion industry that there is demand for men's skirts will we have a supply.
I know that for some men in skirts, the feminine aspect is important, but for most men, male versions might be preferred or even required before they start wearing skirts, leggings, and the like.
