The Mrs and I walked on an Atlantic ocean beach in north-east Florida yesterday morning. She was wearing a dress and I was wearing a t-shirt and a brown Purple Rain hiking skirt. Everyone acted like it was totally normal: we chatted with people as we walked, everyone was friendly, a woman walking her dog asked if we wanted our picture together (she saw us take a selfie), etc...it was wonderful.

Skirted Bike Outing #1: I'm not counting this as a jaunt, otherwise, I'd post it there, this was just something I decided to do on a whim. Anyhoo, here I am, near the Philadelphia Museum of Art on my first bike ride of 2025 which takes me on a scenic path for cyclists and runners along the Schuylkill River. Usually, I wear men's cargo shorts or sweatpants over padded bike pants when I ride, but, on this occasion, I opted for a 15 inch faded denim skirt, and, it was not only fun, but more comfortable as well. Already I'm thinking about buying a padded seat cover so I can get rid of the bike pants and just go with the skirt for future rides.

Oh, for the record, I rode some 17 miles round trip

Is this you branching out in your skirt wearing into other parts of your life? My first thought was for you to be careful, since I remember you telling us that it would be dangerous to be seen in a skirt near where you live? Other than that, I am happy to see your skirting life getting bigger.
Daily, a happy man in a skirt...

Well, I only have time ride on Sunday mornings, and I leave home early (7 am) to avoid crowds on the aforementioned path, especially on the return trip. Otherwise, it was pretty okay, no problems at all.

Great to see someone else cycling in a mini skirt.
I have more to say but I continue on the Bike Riding thread as not to cause thread drift.
My name is Anthony, please accept me for the person that I am.

I had just been to a nearby village shop wearing a T-shirt and a black utility kilt, when I was congratulated bu a Scottish chap for my clothing choice.

Having accidentally timed a short break in Paris for the exact days when the temperature climbed to record levels, I was happy to spend one day of our visit in an ankle-length, olive-green Incerun skirt. As one would expect in Paris, there were a lot of very well-dressed people, including some men's styles that I would categorise as distinctly gay. My wife commented on the rarity of stiletto heels: they seem to be going out of fashion.
I didn't see any other men in skirts, but my son spotted a guy zooming past on a scooter in a tartan kilt.

A silly aside. I have been asked numerous times if what I am wearing is a kilt, by both men and women; but today I was asked if what is was wearing was a skirt! I answered in the affirmative, and the youngish woman complimented me on it, emphasizing she liked it, the whole outfit and that was about the extent of the conversation as we were both leaving a local grocery store. Compliments from women are not uncommon, but being asked if what I'm wearing is a "skirt" is. It was nice she felt comfortable using correct terminology and not 'softening' it by asking about 'kilt, or if I was Scottish, etc. Maybe she was only 'testing' me? Anyway, a minor sign of progress?! :) [Note, many of the compliments from women do already come with confirmation, as they typically say something along the line of "I like your skirt"]
