Interesting. I was at a shop buying something for my dinner the other day and I was standing in a long queue full of 14 to 16 year old school kids. I found it quite intimidating because I was wearing a long black tiered skirt with black fishnet tights, DMs, a black leather biker jacket and a neckless and a black paisley bandana. There was no laughing or staring or weird looks from the school kids in the queue. They didn’t even bat an eyelid. It makes me wonder that the younger generation see men in skirts as just normal because of LGBTQ.
My name is Arty. I’m a guy with a passion for wearing skirts, dresses and tights and a hobbiest musician and artist. 8)

I wander though if they are reading such people as 'man wearing a skirt' or 'transgender person'?

I am not sure whether they can be bothered, they see another human who happens to be in a skirt, in the brief glance before getting back to the important stuff on their phone....

Meanwhile the public space is there for a MIS to wear what ever he likes....Carry on and have fun.
Daily, a happy man in a skirt...

Quite right. The populace as a whole is too wrapped up in their own lives and affairs to give much, if any attention to a man in a skirt. It's perhaps one half of one percent of people who actually pay attention, and by the time they do, we're gone, never to be seen again.
I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman.

I get many second looks and then they just go on about their business. Are talking about me later or asking others if they saw that guy wearing a skirt?
I hope so, because the more of us they see and discuss men wearing skirts, the more it will be normalized it will become. My wife had a friend of hers ask if I am a transgender, she said no and that she supports people wearing whatever they want.
