Steve, I'm sure I speak for most of us on here, let us know if there is anything we can do. Hugs man. Only advice I have, when it gets really dark, think of the good times.

Oh my word, Steve. I am so saddened to hear that and sorry.

PartlyScot has it pretty well though -- cherish the happy times and hold them close. It will help you get through.

Best of luck.

Condolences from Texas

As others have said, "Remember the good times" and you'll
be fine. The recovery time for this type of situation will be
long and difficult. You WILL survive but take your time.
Grief has no time limit and will show up when you least expect it.

Your friends here will offer any and all support as we, at a distance,
can do. Cherish your local friendships! They will help you
through this time. Don't shut them out. They want to help ~
don't be afraid to accept it. IT may not be the 'manly thing'
to do, but don't hide your feelings. They're yours, so, own them :!:

Above all, best wishes to you and your family :!:

What sad news. Based on your post, it seemed like you and your wife really enjoyed each others company and loved one another dearly. I can only echo what the others have said, but I wanted to chime in and let you know that you're in my thoughts.

Blessed Be,

-Moon

Steve,

It is always difficult to lose a loved one - especially when it is sudden. Many of us have lost parents - some like yourself a partner - and it is never easy to come to terms with it.

My heart goes out to you.

As many reiterate here, remember the good times.

I feel for you. This is very sad news. In 2000, my wife of 12 years also also died very suddenly. Be strong. I hope you have lots of support. Thinking of you.
Life's too short to worry, just get on with it.

Believe me Steve, I know your pain. My wife of 39 years passed just 3 days ago. I told myself I wouldn't post this online but your loss (and everyone else who's lost a loved one) has prompted me to do so.

My thoughts and prayers are with you also from 30-odd miles east of you. My second son died 8 years ago yesterday at 27 years of age from leukaemia and in some situations the feelings are still as raw now as they were then. So your recovery will be hard but take your time and work it through at your own pace. Peace be with you.
I believe in offering every assistance short of actual help but then mainly just want to be left to be myself in all my difference and uniqueness.
