skirt? skort? short?
skirt? skort? short?
... or just pijamas?
What do you think of this from Ali-express (Chinese in spite of the name).

The model takes up some strange poses (and looks thoroughly bored with his work), but none of the photos really show the garment to advantage. I decided to order one to have a closer look. It is indeed an open garment (aka "skirt"!) with studs to fix round the legs, above the knee seems best, and allows ample movement. I'd say it would be fine for running and would undoubtedly been seen as longish shorts. Not smart or elegant in any way -- for home only.
I tried taking some photos myself but did not succeed any better than the manufacturer's model. I thought I was using the self-timer, but I accidentally pressed the video button. I will try to upload a shortened version -- edited because there's nothing to see at the beginning, and the sequence ends with "oh, sh**", as I suddenly realized what I had done.

No, can't do that, so make do with a pic.
--- No, not my latest hairdo, just an old yucca behind me!

The latest variation on harem pants? Front pocket looks a bit odd and potentially very uncomfortable.
Keep on skirting,

He lifted his left leg like he backed into that plant/bush behind him !
Hope it was not a spiny cactus - 'Ouch' !
Now regarding this being a skort - a tad bit too long couldn't play tennis in this !
A skirt Yes but not a short.
Couya - glad you are smiling and happy with it. Great color it compliments you well !

"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

I don't like it at all. Go out buy an A line skirt and sew up the bottom leaving space for legs and you have the same thing

Couya, you deserve an award for experimentation.
My profession is in design and thus well practised in post-rationalisation but I am struggling to think of a good reason to wear this garment.

My name is Anthony, please accept me for the person that I am.
Re: skirt? skort? short?
Sorry, Like the colour but that's about it. If I were you I'd shorten it and turn it into a more conventional skirt - somewhere just above the knees would be a good spot. I certainly wouldn't wear it but I do give you brownie points for initiative and adventure.

I believe in offering every assistance short of actual help but then mainly just want to be left to be myself in all my difference and uniqueness.
Re: skirt? skort? short?
Thanks for all your amusing comments -- especially Tom's !!!
By the way, Melsav, the bottom is not sewn up; it is completely open and airy.
And I am very careful with this plants. They have amazing sharp hard points at the ends of the leafs; very dangerous. I usually castrate them in self-defense.
No, I don't know where or why I'd wear this garment either, to tell the truth, but it's very light may get some use around the house in summer.
