Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. See here for more details.
The 5-11 Tactical Kilt (With matching 5-11 shirt). Was at a 2nd amendment rally. Yes that's a real, live AK-47. Please note the gun control you can believe in: Safety On, Finger off the Trigger, and muzzle pointed in a safe direction.
(Please- this is NOT meant to be a political post- it's just the only one I have of me in a kilt, and it was at a political event.)
That looks good, and yes it does seem to have all the pockets for any accessories one may need. Might go better with a Dragunov though, a little longer range than an AK! Seriouly though, that's a good looking garment, and could never be anything other than masculine, no matter what the accessories.
Oh, and your safety conscious message was well received here. Unless he actually did, in cold blood, kill his girlfriend, Oscar Pistorious made a huge glaring foolish act in that he failed the NEVER shooting until you can totally identify the target. These acts of foolishness can never gain sympathy from me.

It will not always be summer: build barns---Hesiod
In addition to a handkerchief, and my cell phone charger, wallet, etc, I was also carrying 6 AK mags, and 4 pistol mags (2 AK mags in each kilt detatchable side pocket, 1 in each shirt side open pocket, and 2 pistol mags in each breast pocket.. Quite "Tactical"!!)

Milfmog- that flag is the Gonzales Flag from the Texas Revolution in 1835-1836. To avoid politics, and a Texas History lesson google it, or the "Come and Take It" flag...

If it were so masculine, it would not need such accessories -- which are incompatible with the "family-friendliness" that this forum is supposed to embody.

(Reaching for Mod-Hat)
He is presenting his only photo of him wearing a kilt.
Cut the guy some slack - please If it's the only pic he has wearing
a kilt, take it as just that. He will most undoubtedly present other
kilted pic's - once he has some. (Mod-Hat, I'll leave it on the rack)

When asked 'Why the Kilt?'
I respond-The why is F.T.H.O.I. (For The H--- Of It)
Wearing a kilt is so commonplace for me (if I'm not at work, I'm in a kilt, and the only reason I dont wear one at work is that it's not very good on coverage... last thing I need is welders sparks falling up my kilt while I'm upside down in a compartment half twisted around... and not to mention the eyeful my co-workers would be getting...) that I dont have any pics of me in one... How many times do you go about your daily business and think to have someone take a picture?
Despite being a Brit with a deep aversion to guns, I have trouble understanding why some folks are getting so uptight about a picture of a guy in a kilt. So he's got a gun; so what? I also dislike SUV's, should I lose all sense of proportion if a picture is posted of a guy in a kilt next to an SUV?
Come on folks, grow up.
Ian.

Just poking fun at Ian Milfmog here....He doesn't like guns or SUVs (neither do I) and I know another pet dislike of his which might be relevant to tomorrow....Fancy a picture of a kilted Irishman next to a bottle of Irish Whiskey on St. Patrick's Day ?
Me thinks thou art pushing or pressing a tender nerve spoiling for a good ole fashion brawl with one of your fellow countrymen !
Aye mate I too have a big gas guzzling SUV but you won't find me in the outback watching DVDs or ploting a course with the navigation GPS.
I like running over mini-cooper speed bumps !
And as for firearms - well I have an arsenal of goodies well designed for hunting game - people naw - they will make themself extinct in due time !
A civilized toast of sorts:
"May you be in heaven a half hour before the devil knows your dead"!
"Happy-Skirted-(Kilted)-St.-Patricks-Day"

"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !
