Will black men ever wear skirts?

I have seen hundreds of pictures of skirt wearing men but I can't recall a black guy among them.
The Dutch, German, French, Spanish forums and skirtcafe all show white men.
Only once in the crowded railwaystation of Utrecht I saw a black man wearing a grey kneelong skirt. He looked very natural in it and nobody seemed to notice him.

Am I overlooking something?

I've seen photos of various black film/music stars on internet, though I doubt that has much impact on the general public.
I have noticed that immigrants from the Maghreb and black Africa react to my open garments far more than Europeans do and generally show shock and distaste.
Not surprising in some ways, as (from what I have seen) all the men in African towns wear trousers and all the women wear dresses or skirts. On the other hand, in North Africa, both men & women wear trousers, whether or not they also have a skirted garment.

Kanye West, an black American musician, has worn a kilt while in concert. I think that he may have also been spotted in a black leather kilt; I may be getting that confused with someone else.

Samuel L. Jackson, an black American actor, has also been photographed wearing a kilt.

FWIW, there is also a series of videos on YouTube from a younger black American man who supports the wearing of skirts by men. He has yet to appear in a skirt himself though he does see the logic in it.

Those are the two/three instances that come to mind at present.

Samuel L. wore a kilt throughout "The 51st State", a pretty good film, as far as I recall there is no explanation of why, he just does. By the way, the young Black American has also been contributing on this forum, can't remember the name he uses and it is too late for me to look! Soz!

I have a black friend that wears solid colored and tartan kilts. I am the source of the kilt infection and have 2 other friends wearing them on occasion too.

Um, except for Dutch South Africa, probably 80% of the non-office working Africans in Africa wear some sort of skirted garment and they are nearly all black, with a few million black Muslims mixed in and at least 50,000 Masai in Kenya and other countries taking care of the Lion population. Then there's the Tongan Islands that supply most of the biggest, heaviest, strongest tacklers in the United State's National Football Leagues and they LIVE in colorful wrap skirts and they are at least 90% brown or black with tightly curled hair and lots of Maori style tattoos.
On both sides of the Red Sea, nearly all the Muslims are black to dark brown with lots of African blood. Australia has lots of skirted natives with black skin and various wrap garments too.

You can also add the various Pacific Islanders who don't look black but mostly have some black blood in them. The lightest ones are in Sarongs or Kains in the Hawaiian Islands, the USA 51st state. There are lots more native peoples on our shared planet that seldom wear trousers of any kind even when riding a motorcycle. All the Senators and representatives of the people in Fiji wear a wrap skirt called "the Sulu" all the time including government meetings. And so on and on.

The movie with Samuel L. Jackson in a kilt was Formula 51 playing the role of Elmo McElroy who ends up purchasing the McElroy castle in Scotland and finally taking off his kilt...and everything else but his shoes below his neck. One of the co-stars was "Meatloaf", an American comedian and singer. Both of these men love to drink..

Over on a High heels board I tend to read periodically ( http://www.hhplace.org ), there is a thread entitled "The Jaunts of JeffB".
On September 18th, he posted statistics on his first 125 "jaunts". Roughly 60% were skirted.
A quick check showed him in skirted on his #134th and #137th jaunts (pages 112 and 114 on his jaunts thread).

Scrolling trough the picture section I see your point; You are not white but more like café latte or a month vacation in Miami Beach...........
You really have lots of skirts and dresses, I am impressed.
The black outfit (oct. 27, 2009) and the tan coloured skirt (march 15, 2011) I like the most.
Keep on skirting..................
