Idly searching on ebay, I found this.

A quick Google found more links.

I've never heard of this before. Has anyone else?

I could have done with that to cover my car up last winter.

That's a great find, Skirtyscot! 8) I don't normally wear long skirts, but it's nice to have a bit of variety available, it being the spice of life. This one looks the business; a masculine cut with plenty of pockets, and the price is reasonable. The model in the picture is wearing it in the silly hipster style, so that the hem is skimming the ground, but it doesn't take too much brainpower to correct the mental image. If you do splash the cash, let us know how it turns out!

Of course, they use the most masculine looking model they can find, any of us might not quite measure up with our aging bodies. I do like it and it would work for certain situations like walking, particularly outside on a cold day.

No need to apologise, B&B! They have got more in since my OP on Saturday, and now they have it my size.

I am undecided, and my credit card is getting overused this month. Maybe next month , but perhaps you could do a review of yours when it arrives?

Will do, but I think it will be tight to start with, my weight has gone the wrong way recently, must find some tapeworm eggs! best idea for a diet pill I have ever read about!

Yuck!

Better idea - go for big long walks up and down those hills you use as a backdrop for your photos.

I heartily second and endorse SkirtyScot's advice!

You seem to have positively magnificent hills where you dwell. Avail yourself of them!

(I need to do the same in my part of the world...)

I have an alternative method of dissipating unwanted adipose tissue, and it doesn't involve scaling hills at all, although it helps to have a few hills in view to relieve the boredom.

The technique is to remain very much on the flat....water, I mean. Sit facing the stern, take two oars in your hands and row into the distance for eight miles and back.
On getting back it will be noted that one has been sweating somewhat and one's appetite is such that nothing edible within range is safe.
I have mentioned my 45-year long strict adherence to the 'seafood diet' before. Rule one: When I see food....I eat it!

In my Latin studies as a schoolboy I came across an expression for food for the troops used by Caesar during his Gallic Wars....'Rei Frumentaria'.
So I'll modify my logo here to: 'Carpe Rei Frumentaria'......Sieze the Food ! I'm sure B&B will fully understand what I mean.

Well, the skirt has arrived. It would probably be a fairly tight fit on someone with a 42" waist, I have no chance at the moment. It does seem well made and I wish I fitted it! There's never a tapeworm round when you want one!

Anyone want to buy an unused skirt? One fat owner!

The skinny Brazilian guy aboard the Royal Clipper who joked to me about feeding his tapeworm didn't elaborate on how it got there. I suppose they do grow from eggs!
How to cheat at dieting.jpg
Anyway, I'm impressed at your girth, B&B if you have to discard a size 42, brand new, never raced or rallied &c. My problem there is that my tapeworm sez 33" round me middle, so I'd have to do like they do on dummies in shop windows...wrap it round tight and fix it at the back with safety pins!
That presumes that I have an accomplice/dresser to help there, which I don't.

Maybe Alex Cessna Towser might take it off you. He might fit the bill, so to speak.
