do you wear tights or not

I normally wear tights with skirts unless it is very hot. At this time of year it will be opaque tights but when it gets warmer it will be sheer tights.

For the most part, I wear tights but in the cold face of winter that's being practical. I suppose I'll have to lose the tights when it gets warmer.

Now, this brings me to question what is the general consensus on leg hair?

I never think about leg hair..Unlike some, I don't have any. I have very sparse blond hair on my body. I've had people ask me if I shaved my arms and fingers...no hair there either. Now if I could just move some of my head hair to the rest of my body I could experience leg, arm and other body hair.

PS. See the tiny mustache in my picture? It's never been cut or trimmed in my entire life. I shave the rest of my face once every week with an electric clipper.

I have congenital varicose veins; I've had two vein-stripping surgeries, and I'm obliged to wear medical-grade tight socks for the rest of my life. I wear tights (in the U.S: pantyhose) because they're more comfortable than medical-grade socks.

Leg Hair is shaved.
Other body parts are shaved or trimmed.
Though my head is almost bald I have the body hair of a Grizzly bear, and animal I resemble in size and shape.

Phathack, you and I should somehow switch situations. I need some body and leg hair and you need head hair...we could both do with less of what we have lots of.

If I had a decent thatch on the legs, then I would probably not have entertained the idea/notion of wearing tights; at most, I would have worn thick ones for warmth. Thus, I completely understand those who are hirsute on the legs eschewing the use of tights, or dismissing them out of hand.

However, I'm not that hairy, and what hair there would be looks silly. So I have been shaving my legs for 13 years, and they look far better - with or without tights.

If someone wants to wear sheer hosiery over hairy legs, that's their freedom to do so. I can't see it as being comfortable, and I certainly can't see it as being visually appealing, but each to their own.

I only wear tights when cold, but am more inclined to just wear a longer skirt in the house than wear tights with a shorter skirt. I too shave my legs (simply because i prefer being smooth) but am not naturally very hairy anyway.

Until recently I would have said no, not under any circumstances - too much hassle & not enough time. Then I discovered short skirts (mid thigh to above knee) looked good on me & I had to think the whole thing through again. So I have invested in razors - if you're going to do something, you have to do it right - & tights which I found I got used to surprisingly quickly & now don't even really think about when I'm wearing them. So, the final answer is, yes I do.

I always wear tights with skirts. Even when I wear hiking socks and boot out on a walk, I wear tights. I like the feel and I like they prevent chafing of my (overly large) thighs. I also simply enjoy the soft feel of them on my legs.

Yep,- 300 denier when bitterly cold, going thinner as it goes warmer. Don't go anywhere without them. Holdups are good-you get a breeze around your box, but need hairless legtops, or they fall down.

I've found tights to be of value in cold weather, but only the open crotch variety. This gives the necessary room for the undercarriage and enables the tights material to lay close to my skin. No leg shaving for me - I have enough to do with shaving my chin!

BTW - when I see a question of the "qqqq or not" variety I always want to answer "yes AND no" or "No AND yes" as appropriate. That's what comes of having studied Boolean logic in college. Aye - I'm a sad auld scunner, ye ken!
