Sequin Skirt?

So we have the red nails sorted, what about a sequin skirt?
Now in my defence, this is all Amazon's fault.....When I wore trousers all the time, things offered to me in my email, would be DIY, model railway, tech, etc. Now I also get interesting skirts offered to me.......
So a sequin skirt was dished up for me to consider for £11.99
https://amzn.eu/d/05uMo42j To my credit, there were four colour ways and there was a pitch made by part of my brain, for going with the purple
https://amzn.eu/d/043CSiqe ....... This was more expensive and the black looked classy and would probably work with more outfits. Sense won out and black was selected.....
So I took sequins to get the McDonnald's for tea......
And later to Tesco's for some bits.
I quite like my new skirt and I love the idea that the Amazon algorithm has accepted that Mouse likes skirts and therefore, the thing to serve to him is interesting skirts......
So as always, what are the thoughts of the team on sequins? Also was I a wimp to go with the black option when I claim to like bright colours?

Looks good with the 'splash' of green
I couldn't really tell if it was sequins or not. My monitor didn't pick up on that aspect.
Could be the lighting, color, not sure which. If it
WAS the red skirt, and those tights,
the picture would've reminded me of Christmas colors

Mouse, yet another good look especially with the boots.

Another fun find. I think there is something about dramatic outfits that tend to get more positive attention -- people intuitively know that you are intentionally making a statement; not merely some confused guy in a skirt. I have only one sequined skirt:
https://photos.app.goo.gl/rmPuGvLPTM8np3yg8 that I probably get more positive responses to than many of my other skirts, despite not wearing it all that often. (I may have posted a picture a public street fair a while back) but here it is simply being held up in front of the 'non-statement' ordinary one I wore to No Kings today.
So, what do others think: Do we get a "pass" when we wear bold outfits vs blah ones?

Many Thanks Faldaguy. I love your sequin skirt, you should wear it more.
I think you are on to something, as bold skirts or heels do get seem to get more comments.

Thank you Uncle Al, Sequins I have learnt are difficult to take pictures of. I think they work better on video, since you need the movement in the light for them to work well.
The green was an experiment, which Mrs Mouse was initially surprised by, but later said she thought worked.
I try to keep the green away from the red

Thank you John, I love these boots, even though they are work to put on and off. I thought the boots would limit the expanse of green and the shiny black matched the sparkly skirt.

Sharp skirt there, Mouse! The sequins really makes it pop, and it paired perfectly with the boots. I don't know if I could wear sequins on purely casual daytime outings like I what I indulge in, and going on nighttime adventures would require leaving my house after dark which I never do these days. Still, it is intriguing nonetheless.

A good look there Mouse, i'd say you did right going for the black as it can be worn in various scenario's whereas the other colours are really only party wear. Also the sequins stand out better against the black than they would against the other colours.
I always admire anyone who has the patience to lace up boots as long as that.

I like the sequined skirt mouse, skirts like that give a little fizz of happiness. Maybe in the summer you could pair it with a shirt and some pumps (plimsols). Just a thought?
I am secretly a fan of sequins Mouse, probably from my Nan who was a proper east end girl and a pearly queen before the war. She used to tell me how they dressed up and how much she loved it.
I had a blue ombre skirt from Laura Ashley with sequins around the bottom 6 inches. I cut thrm all off because I thought it was too girly. My wife told me later that I shouldn't have done it because they looked nice. So I bought an identical skirt and kept the sequins. I have another from boden which I posted in pics and looks.

Thank you Jeff, Yardstick and Barleymower. I am pleased that your wife is behind you on wearing sequins.
The sun was shining later in the day so I thought the sequins might show up better.....Sequins need movement to work well. Nice to see the sun, wind still cold though.

Yes, the sunlight did make the skirt stand out more. In addition, the green tights provided excellent contrast between the skirt and boots. Going monochromatic with black legwear probably wouldn't have worked. Well done, my friend.

It just looks kind of “you”. Neither out of the ordinary or out of place on you. You just look great IMHO “to quote your good self”. A great find Mouse.
