Primark tights the good and the bad

I’ve been buying tights form my local Primark store recently and find their tights being a bit of hit or a miss. The tights from Primark that have been really good are their size XL 30 denier black tights and their size XL black polka dot tights which feel good and fit me perfectly. I tried to buy a few more pairs of their polka dot tights due to being impressed by them but they sold out in the size XL.
Anyway, I came across another pair of their fashion tights which have over the knee patterns but they are awful. Even though they are size XL they don’t fit me as well as the polka dot tights and the material is awful. It’s strange how a pair of tights that are size XL can fit me perfect yet another pair the same size doesn’t fit me. It’s very frustrating.

I think the tights from supermarkets and places like Primark are bit of a lottery. About a year ago, black tights. from Tesco were fine at the 15d mark, the 40d and 60d, but the 30d were awful with the crotch falling apart on the first wearing of every pair. I think the only way is what you are doing, buy one pair, see if they are any good and if they are, buy more!

Yes, I've bought the Tesco 60 dn to wear under trousers and found them quite robust.

Yeah, I remember saying that I bought 30d tights from Tesco and they fell apart at the crotch and you had the same problems too. Fortunately, Primark’s 30d black tights are much better than Tesco's.
I managed to buy more of those black polka dot tights from Primark as my local Primark recently got more in stock so I bought another 2 pairs as they are a great fit and very comfortable. However, it was a bit of an embarrassment buying them as the self service till malfunctioned and a male member of staff appeared and said quite loudly “Okay, two pairs of ladies tights I’ll get them through the till for you”. Anyway, the purchase finally went through.

I've worn tights from Primark a lot, everything from 30 denier to 200, and, so far, I haven't had any issues.
