I just love the look and feel of sports skirts especially the pleated wrap around types in bright colours. So easy to wear and they they have an adjustable locking mechanism to secure the waist so that it can be made smaller or larger in just seconds. Incredibly comfortable and hardwearing which inspires a sporty feel.

Perhaps whitesocks was referring to this item/link:

Skirt with adjustable tab waist - flat front apron - multiple 1 inch knife pleats on rear - and bright colors!
An incredible item - I have two - a bright red and navy blue.

Nice skirts, but they don't come large enough

Yeah Uncle Al you got that right!
I have had to park my two in the back of the closet and do the "Diet & Exercise" regimen.
A further inquiry into their website - they do custom orders (for a good price!!!) in larger sizes.
They cater to large orders for teams and a single special order is just cost prohibited.
Typical of wrap skirts (even kilts) there is a limit as to how much waist the skirt can fit
without excessive gapping at the overlap.
Nice skirts and the pleated rear is tailored in a way that hugs the butt and does not blossom
out like an 'A' frame skirt.
But alas - 'Diet & Exercise' then I can go back to the neat skirts. Kilts are more forgiving.

Hmmm, well, all very nice but, since they have no pockets, (and no need for same) I think I'll stick to sarongs for casual and beach wear. I do like a practical pocketed skirt. Oh, and keep up the diet and exercise, I've gone from a tight 16 U.K. to a tight 12.

R.M.Anderson, your link is exactly right, these are perfect. In the UK you can get them in a waist size that is measured in inches so that makes it much easier to get a perfect fit.

I thought a quick picture might show just how good these skirts look.

Whitesocks, you forget to click on "personal messages" when you did your profile etc stuff?? As far as I know, you're the only member without them.

Skirt design looks fine, ( i think I have something similar in black) but too much yellow for my personal taste...

I like the design on that. I suspect that yellow isn't my colour, but something like that in a blue or dark red would likely work extremely well. I think that I would be tempted to go just a smidgen shorter, but that's a persona thing.

I like the look of that skirt. I bet it would be good for hiking. Does anyone know if the same or very similar skirt is available in the US?
The link stars1 kindly provided leads to a skirt with no pleats and a built in panty. Halfway to being a skort.
