We went to Tamworth yesterday, a city about 130km away and I wore light blue silk Thai wrap sarong pants (they flow beautifully like a light skirt) topped with a darker turquoise Thai silk shirt and light grey shoulder bag with black trim and black webbing strap. The scowl came from a postwoman pushing her trolley, who we passed a couple of extra times- each time her scowl became more intense and it was hard for me not to burst out laughing. Unlike CR and Sapphire's old gent, she maintained perfect control of her trolley. I am now so immune to reactions that it is Barbara that points them out to me.

The other reaction was at an alternative cafe that we frequent, where the young girl who served us was exstatically delighted to get the web address so she could get some for herself

Just got back from dinner....

... and am getting set to call it quits for the night. I'm still wearing my bright red waistcoat, a rust-coloured checked shirt, and burgundy tiered skirt under that with flesh-toned knee-high socks and my usual black dress shoes.

And, to cap it all off, as I type this, a one-eyed tabby house-lion in my lap. It doesn't get much^W any better than this!

Blue roll neck cable knit jumper, with neclace, washed denim mini skirt, 15 inch, or about 8 inch above the knee, black and white horizontally striped leggings, with black knee high socks over them, in riding boots. Not very glamourous, but with the cold and windy weather, just comfortable.
Although the mini does give exposure to the wind if one stands still. but I enjoy wearing skirts, and women do it, so why shouldn't I be able to?

The funny thing about it is that before I wore skirts, I wouldn't dream of wearing short ( p*nts) at any season except full summer, and here I am, in the winter in a short mini! :?  and enjoying every minute of it.

The car is fixed!

I went out in black 6 gore heavy jersey skirt, black textured tights, black heavy socks, black oxfords, Plush, short sleeve mock neck sweater in royal purple, pink freshwater pearls and a purple batik jacket with Chinese coins for buttons.

While I have a large collection of earrings, I wore the plain ones that I wear most of the time: small gold hoops. I have a third earring in my left ear: a tiny gold hoop with a little gold charm in the shape of a paw.

Great that the transportation is fixed!

Hmmmnnn... 8) :D :D A Dark and mysterious person... (Black)
and of course, the pauw in the earing
Black like a black cat, with a nice shiny fur, purring yet watchful ready to pounce.

Black can be very nice, depending on the place it is worn. ie in enough light. And the pearls give it just that bit of colour it needs. And I think purple goes well with black too.

I tend to wear dark colors below the waist. With my Latin background, I'm curvy and hippy and have "bootie" so I wear dark colors to minimize all that bounty. On the other hand I have plenty of "bounty" on the chest, so I wear more vibrant colors above the waist to draw attention to my face, which reflects the other side of my pedigree: German.

OK I'm an American mutt.

The paw charm reflects my love for animals, a love that I have had since I was able to walk.

Pale green T shirt with 15" slightly flared light brown skirt. Walking trainers with trainer socks.

I've been out walking Taz (my Labrador / Boxer cross) so plenty of freedom to move was more important that style.

All Dressed Up and no Way to get Where I want to Go

Grrrr. Grump

After all the trauma drama yesterday with the car, the dang thang won't start!!! And I was going to see what treasures await at the mall....

SO to keep it on subject, I'm wearing a brown swirly skirt with a teal print, brown tights and my brown suede Hush Puppies. Over the skirt, I have a brown sweater tunic and a tapestry jacket in shades of brown, ivory, russet and green. It is woven in a print with cats playing and snoozing all over it.

Light brown 15" mini skirt and grey T shirt, see picture here.

Apologies for the trainers and pushed down socks, not very stylish but practical when walking the dog for a couple of hours.

Have fun,

Ian.

Mmnn, no dog in sight, so can I presume that's who took the picture? My dad once had a Labrador, and it was supposed to quite intelligent, too! Seriously though, that's the sort of 'look' that'll get us on the right road. Understated, and often as not, un-noticed (by most) I expect.

Yes, shorter than I would wear but a macho style and colour and looks like there's even a zip fly.
