You are soooo right, Uncle Al. Health Always comes first.

I donated $ 20 because I don't want a black skirt but symphatize with Joe's project. $ 20 is about what the profit on one skirt will be.

In the meantime I had my German seamstress, who made a perfect jeans skirt for me a couple of years ago, make a beige copy of said jeans skirt with some detail improvements like wider and deeper slant pockets so that I don't need zipped side pockets. I always travel as light as possible.
I did this because IF Joe would come up with a Khaki (=beige) skirt I would not arrive in the foreseeable future.
I will post a picture when Joe has met his goal.

So here's the ting. I want a skirt, but I wanna wait for the 2nd color. I donated my 78 for the skirt and Joe said if we go over the hump by $78 or more he'll use my $78 towards the second color. So if you haven't donated, we have two weeks left. Now's the time!!

I signed up last night.
Since I've been going out more the last few weeks, I decided I needed another skirt I would wear away from home.

It's great that the launch has got past the first hurdle, however, it would be even better to get past the stretch goal and add a second colour. If you know places to push this please keep doing so. the better the launch the better the long term prospects for the brand.

Have fun,

I would love to support them but they stop fare short of the size I need. Too Bad.

About this second color: there is a new development:
The factory has considerably lowered the price for the second run out of sympathy so that the goal for the second color is now down to 14000 dollar.

So go for it!

Looks like folks have gone for it; the $14K target has been hit so there will be black skirts and Khaki skirts in the first run.

So people who did not want a black skirt can now pledge to take a khaki skirt from the first run.

Have fun,

Whilst I would have taken a black skirt, my preference will be for a khaki one. I'm very pleased that the project has been a success.

The Kickstarter project closes in a little under 9 hours (1:00 am UTC; 8:00 pm US Central), in case anyone would like to join the project who hasn't yet. The skirt will be available for purchase after the project, too, but I'm not sure how soon that will be, as I'll be focusing on delivering skirts to project backers for a little while.

Regardless of whether you've backed the project, thanks very much to everyone here who gave feedback (positive and negative) on the design as it evolved! It really helped improve the product, and encouraged me to push ahead with it.

Here's hoping that more skirts for men from other brands will be on the way soon, too! If someone with no previous background in clothing design, the apparel industry, or marketing can launch a product like this, clearly bigger clothing brands are missing out on something. I think they'll start catching on.
