So having booked to go to another party, I obviously needed a new outfit to go in. Since I had some yellow boots and we have already established on this cafe that purple and yellow are a good combination, a new yellow skirt was required to go with the semi transparent purple leotard I have been making for some time.

Yes I am making another circle skirt, because I am pushed for time and I like circle skirts. They work well in latex. The round things are large washers that Mrs Mouse bought me for my sewing projects to act as weights when cutting out patterns.

A circle! To make this outfit I have bought latex in 0.33 mm from Supatex https://www.supatex.com instead of Radical Rubber https://radicalrubber.co.uk Each company makes great latex, but in different colours. Ran into a small problem in that the width of the Supatex is smaller, so my original short skirt pattern was too big. No problem I made another which fitted and will just mean my new skirt is slightly shorter!

Here I am preparing to glue the waist band strengthening piece of latex. The glue reacts with the latex and causes it to curl up. The first short skirt I made, I cut the middle hole out first and when I went to glue it, it all cured up and stuck to its self in a sticky mess. So now I cut the hole out last.

The finished skirt and outfit. I was really pleased with the whole look. I got many compliments at the party where I am a man in a latex skirt.

So the high heel company Pleaser, had these orange boots on sale......I figured I could improve on my orange look, working with these boots. Therefore I set out to make a full orange set of clothes.
First a longer orange skirt and stockings to be marked out. When you buy latex, the minimum length on the roll that the companies sell is 5m, so first thing to find, is my roll of orange latex, that I used for my short orange skirt. When I rolled it out, I realised that it was very thin at only 0.25 mm. This means that gluing it will be tricky, since the reaction with the glue makes the latex wrinkle and stick to itself in a mess and the thiner the more problems you have.
Image
As I have made more latex clothing, I have worked out more techniques by watching various makers on YouTube. To make the latex dimensionally stable, I use green low tack painters tape on the side of the latex I am not gluing. Once I have applied the glue to a surface, I cover it with cling film.
Image
Then I attach the two pieces together slowly peeling back the cling film on each part and pressing them together with my metal roller.

My seams are not perfect, but good enough for me to wear with some pride, and get compliments at a party where most, are wearing ready made latex clothes.

So plans of mice and men, I ran out of time to make everything orange. I bought a longer orange petticoat and obviously an orange handbag to go with the shoes. But I reused my transparent purple leotard and black corset belt to complete my outfit. I took this picture at 1:30 in the morning, in Cockfosters tube station, after the party to show you all the outfit. Better pictures from the party will appear from the official photographers.
