This Sportkilt review comes all the way from the Netherlands.
I am quite happy with my two Sportkilts. The fabric is soft, keeps pleats well and they have deep pockets. All you need for a hot summer.
I use kiltpins to prevent "indecent exposure" in strong winds, even when I 'm riding my bike.
I find cotton less suitable for a kilt. I had to iron my Utilikilt every day to keep the pleats sharp and I hate ironing so in the end I simply threw it away. So far for Utilikilts!!
I also own a Macabi skirt and a jeans skirt.
I have been wearing skirts for some 37 years now and I find skirts much more comfortable than trousers, except in cold weather.

I like the kilt it looks and feels pretty dressy(formal)
But with the temps in the 40's farinheit with
the sun down its been too chilly for me to wear
The summer temps have boiled my blood( brain to)
I just can't handle cool temps any more.
I ride motorcycle most times and that rules out
going kilted.

Went for a walk at 50 deg f. And it wasn't
bad. I don't wear shorts even in summer time
so i'm just not used to having my legs exposed
Maybe should have gotten a wool kilt.
