I was out last night for a few cold ones whilst wearing my cranberry calf-length skirt and a blue/grey Hawaiian shirt.

And I have a corker of a hangover right now. It must've been more than "a few"....

Mem Day cookout

Post by Mary Jane Boy »

I went to a cookout yesterday afternoon.

For a change, instead of a pleated skirt, I wore a pair of Mudd pink camo short shorts (big girls dept.), pink Earth Mary Jane's and pink "Tough Guys Wear Pink" T shirt (fom Kohls).

Everyone thought I looked great!

No photos though.

Green

Post by Since1982 »

Very GREEN of you, Ron. Today, I'm in my normal sitting at the computer stuff. Loafers, Khaki twill straight skirt, blue T shirt.. Later, dressed the same I plan a trip to the grocery store for some staples. :)

Today will be a dark red T-shirt, Armstrong modern tartan kilt, black kilt hose with red flashes, and my hiking boots. Kind of a dull day today. Needs to be brightened up a bit with tartan.

-J

Edit: Got a little too warm today, so I replaced the Armstrong with the black survival and ditched the flashes. A bit later, got a little muggy, so rolled the black kilt hose down, letting the ubitiquous (sp?) trouser socks show underneath. Gotta love early June weather. Gets up into the 70's with sun, then the rain clouds move in and make everything muggier than heck...Grrr

Hat

Post by Since1982 »

No one will ever look at your skirt if you're wearing that hat, Binx...LOL I think that hat would go over huge in San Franscisco...:rotfl:

It was a dissappointment. I was looking for a carport; not one vendor. Checking out replacement siding; it was a hour before the show ended and the salesmen had already left. I did get a jar of Hawaiian Aloe that worked immediately on my sunburned back. Well, at least I didn't pay any admission. Hey, had to wear something to keep the sun off my head...Wonder if it'd make a dress invisible?:D

When I first looked at that photograph, all I could think of was, "Oh. My. God.... It's Teddy Roosevelt.". Trust me Binx, the skirt doesn't even register on the ol' eyeballs.

Well it registered today...should have worn the hat I guess. Got my first f*g comment yelled from a car while walking downtown. May have been the proximity of a formerly-known gay bar.:( Theodore Roosevelt eh?

Well, one has to expect some level of hostility when pushing boundaries. {shrug} I'm sorry about your abuse.

Take a good look at the hat, the eyes, glasses, and 'stache. I'm not saying you're a dead ringer, but on a first glance....

Victorian

Post by Since1982 »

Somewhat Roosevelty, but definitely late Victorian facial look. All you needed was a starched paper collar, a naptha smelling black suit, an oddly tied tie and wingtips to complete the Rooseveltish picture. LOL

Funny how all the "naysayers" say that men "only" look right in suits don't even notice the HUGE difference in the look of suits in only 70 years. 70 years ago a normal suit consisted of an only black or brown tie, an only white shirt, button fly, long johns underneath, and black, brown or black and brown shoes,(The shoes haven't changed much) and a black coat/trousers combo.

That hat tho, will probably get you more adverse comments than a skirt will. I was raised in Fort Lauderdale Florida and on the beach boardwalk at least half of the bars were gay bars and that kind of curled up brightly colored light blue, pink, red, orange or other "gay color" were very popular at those bars. Unfortunately so were shirts with no sleeves of similar colors.

You know you live in a gay town when you use a public facility and all the stall walls have various sized small holes in them at various levels. "leering and panting holes", "thrusting holes"..etc. I drove cab early in my adult life in Lauderdale and if I HAD to use a public john carried a newspaper and paper tape with me to cover all the holes while pooping. Hehehe, the experiences you remember...lol :shifty:

Yup, comments yelled from cars. Just shows they're not brave enough to face you...
