Trousers on Sunday, but I did go out and about at the tail end of last week in my new brown flared skirt. Dropped into the office (out of hours): night security bloke didn't care; went to the supermarket: nobody seemed to care; went to get petrol: nobody seemed to care. All in all, a fine evening of the sky staying up.

Wore my Utilikilt to an outdoor concert yesterday. Nothing but positive comments. One guy said "nice dress". Had several people (all women) wanted their picture taken with me. I saw one other guy wearing an Amerikilt. Great day, great music.

So i ran some errands this morning. put gas in the car and stopped to get some printer cartridges at office max. i am wearing a jean skirt with a length of 15 inches. Nobody says a word and i am just wondering if this is a similar reaction that most get. Do we want them to say something? To present our case? Do we bring it up?

Leave it be and count your blessings.
Wearing a jean (denin) skirt almost commits yourself to being invisible.
If you encounter someone who notices and if they initiate a conversation
then that is the time to answer any questions with honest answers about
your preferences to wearing a skirt i.e. comfortablity and in your case
maybe coolness being in hot hot arizona.
Further conversation and you can explain your activity with this forum.
Wearing a skirt is much different than wearing a kilt. Wearing a kilt is
a breeze and places you with the likes of Sean Connery and other
kilted nobles; Prince Charlie comes to mind.
It is a good start that you are wearing a type of skirt that blends in.
Caution about wearing something odd with the outfit like a blouse on
top and calf high boots and/or pantyhose - you will easily blow your
cover and could easily be confused with a crossdresser which is not
going to help the skirted men movement. Fortunately you do not have
a lot of the redneck mentality in AZ.

"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

rma,

You know i do have longish hair and I carry a mans purse. so i guess from a distance you may think i am a flat chested female. lol. I don't know. but i do love the comfort of it and will continue to venture out for the cause.

Well, it's the usual boring fact, but for the record: I spent yesterday out and about in a skirt with no reactions.

I am in Waikiki attending a conference, and yesterday was arrival day so I had several hours free. Clad in an above-the-knee white cotton skirt I strolled the beach, caught up with some colleagues from Washington DC, went to dinner, etc. Several tourists did double takes. One local flashed me the Hawaiian "cool" sign, but basically it was the usual non-event.

Today I am speaking, so I fear it's into a coat and tie this time.

I also spent a couple of hours running errands. stop to deposit some checks at the bank (got some great smiles from the ladies there but no comments). I can only assume they saw the skirt (I am wearing a 15 inch jean skirt). I also exchanged a printer cartridge at a office max store and did some shopping for workout clothes and shoes. I am certainly glad no one was around when i was trying on the shoes. lol. had to put socks on and then the shoes. I was showing everything. dont know how the ladies do that? Anyway it was a great day.

I am working out of a customers office for a couple of weeks so I only know a few people working on their campus.
This evening on the way out of the office I spotted a man wearing what looked like a knee length skirt.
However as I go close enough to see what it was he was really wearing it turned out to be a pair of extremal baggy shorts made out of some sort of light weight material that flowed in the breeze as he walked.
Hey at 30-40 meters away they sure looked like a skirt.
Maybe I was just wishing to find skirting guy in Toronto.
Only time will tell if I venture out this weekend in the knee length skirt I brought along on this trip.

On a brief visit to a small market town near Grenoble this week, I remembered the last time I was there, perhaps three years ago, when, looking inquisitively through a big stone archway at a vast private garden, I was invited in by the owner in a long loose tunic, who called out to his wife "Look, I've found someone as crazy as I am!"
On a hot summer's day, we were both comfortably unbifurcated, and this provided an excuse for a good chat and an extended visit of the colourful garden.
I've met kilters in France, but that's the only time I have seen another man in a skirt here.

I wore my newer kilt last night to a meal out with about 30 people in a nearby restaurant.
had a few comments (mainly due to some of said friends being several pints along the way) but all in good humour.

A sighting, not by me but by my son. I reported seeing someone in a well known North East supermarket some time back and was a tad disparaging. I reckon my boy has seen the same guy as he now works for said emporium.
Sunday 27th, a.m, no names no locations. However, if you are reading this, you will know who you are. Furthermore, I really would apologise for my earlier remarks.

Noticed a guy strolling through Dublin city earlier today wearing a plain khaki-coloured kilt. The overall appearance was of a "braveheart", big boots, rucksack, combat jacket; like an army piper on a break from the battlefield. He looked comfortable and confident, and who knows, maybe turned a few heads, and minds, in the right direction.

(This is my first time posting from a mobile phone; it's a lot of work!)
