Men in skirts dot org
I found this website:
https://men-in-skirts.org/aboutmis.html
I looks like a small home made page by somebody promoting the idea of (non-crossing) Men In Skirts. Same as the cafe but seems to be a chap working on his own.
I have tried to send message but it was denied? Maybe he / she will pop up here.

SkirtCafe forum member, GerdG, reported in a post in September 2020, under Functioning, but, that men dash in dash skirts dot org seemed to be "Never finished, it seems", in his tests of whether "The Men In Skirts Links:" were still active.Barleymower wrote: ↑Fri Feb 13, 2026 11:38 am I found this website:

I did a quick dig via Google, and what is there appears to be fairly old and possibly centred on Australia.

That's strange because I only posted it when I filtered by search results newer than 1 month. Just goes to show that the google filter options are bogus.
Thanks for the info though, some interesting links.

I also did a WHOIS search of the domain on GoDaddy.
https://uk.godaddy.com/whois/results.as ... skirts.org
The domain was registered in February 2005.
The domain was updated this month and expires in February 2027.
As trainspotter48 noted, the registrant is in Australia.

Maybe the updating of the domain this month triggered things off in Google search?Barleymower wrote: ↑Fri Feb 13, 2026 2:35 pm That's strange because I only posted it when I filtered by search results newer than 1 month. Just goes to show that the google filter options are bogus.

I've seen that site a long time ago.
Judging by the HTML look to the site I'll bet its 20 years old.
Went and looked up the registration.
It is indeed an Australian site.
Strange that they are updating the registration but not the site itself.

The HTML is old, some of it is now deprecated. The Web Editor used is now upto version 9.0 from the version 4.0 used to create it.
I wonder who the person is, whether they are still with us or whether they need a hand with it.
Most odd.

Perhaps after all too much thinking doesn't pay...

Re: Men in skirts dot org
That's Steven Secker's embryonic site that unfortunately never fledged out and became successful.
Steven was one of the "pioneers" and was present both at the ancestor site of this one -- Tom's Cafe -- and at the "Million Skirted Man March" in New York City. This was right around when I was discovering skirts in the very early 2000s and before Tom was taken by cancer with his "Cafe" "seeding" this effort, then run by Bob (now Elizabeth).
Bob ran Skirt Cafe for quite a few years before passing administrative and editorial control to me in 2011, at which he stepped into the role of "Barista Emeritus".
In the early 2000s, there were two very distinct "kinds" of Men In Skirts -- "Bravehearts" (who were entirely kilt-oriented) and "Freestylers" who tended to take an "anything goes" approach. Sometimes the fights between the two seemed epic. I advocated at the time that Skirt Cafe should cast wide net and create a "broad church" that would be welcoming to all comers who weren't into the orthodox "masquerading" role. I believe that history has played out favourably for us as a community. But, my word, the animosity between the two camps sometimes seemed insurmountable!
So, with the archaeological find of Steve's site, some of the deep history (insofar as there can be one) is brought to the light of day.

The Bravehearts have had their own forums for some years.
