Re: Sightings "in the wild"
Please do not use the term "man-bun". It is just a "bun". When women wear a bun, we don't call it a "woman bun". It is just a bun. Terms like "man-bun" are actually harmful to obtaining fashion equality for men. We do not have to differentiate things as for m...

Re: Sightings "in the wild"
Downtown Toronto for a show this evening. Saw a young (early 20s?) man on a skateboard with a knee length flowing skirt. Muted black & blue colours, but with a polkadot type pattern. Also his hair in a small "man-bun".
In general he looked right at home - great to see!

Re: Stealth Skirt trick
I suppose there is a spectrum of individual preferences as to what our purpose is for wearing skirts. I am not trying to advertise or announce my escape from wearing pants or shorts. My goal is freedom and comfort for walking, hiking, and driving. For those reasons I prefer to blend in as a male wh...

Thank you for highlighting this! I'm just starting to dig into the skirtcafe history, having recently joined, but hadn't come across a reference to "everybody skirts.com" yet.
I agree, it's a good resource!

Re: Skirtcraft sale
Excellent! Thanks for the recommendation. I just had a look at the website - these look similar to what I've been looking for, and it's nice to see businesses marketing skirts for both men and women, since they are so versatile in fit. It also makes it easier for me to "sell" the idea of m...

Hello from “Silicon Valley North” (aka Waterloo region, near Toronto, Canada)
Hi all! I just recently came across this community and I’m very interested in digging into some of these threads and conversations to learn more! Who am I? I’m a middle aged man, working in a male dominated, technical engineering field. I’ve been interested in skirts for years, but it hasn’t been un...

Re: Cafe patrons' ages
Thanks for keeping this poll active - it is very interesting! I've just recently joined this community and am starting to explore around. I had to quickly vote in this poll before I get bumped into the 50+ age bracket. :) I'm curious to know if the lower numbers of younger folk here are because ther...
