Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

I went to several small boutiques looking for a new skirt. With spring and summer coming up, I was expecting a better selection than what I found. With only one or two styles to chose from, and most of them in smaller sizes, I was not able to find anything I liked. Everyone was very friendly and hel...

Re: Compliments... but for what though?

My guess is the shoes. Not something that I would ever attempt to wear (I like my ankles unbroken). But I would like to send compliments on the skirt, blue is a good color on you.

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

I went to my local Home and Farm store this morning. At the checkout was a man wearing a camouflage skirt. I live in a small rural town in Kansas, so this surprised me. I ended up checking out before him and waited outside for him to come out. We had a brief conversation about the comfort of wearing...

Womens Vanity

Thats why womens clothing is sold in Sizes not by actual size. Every manufacturer has a different size chart.
100 % Vanity

Why else would a size "0" even exist.

Re: Getting compliments

I was walking at an outdoor type mall. Coming towards me was a group of teenage boys. Getting prepared for the worst, I was surprised. The only comment made was one of the young men said "I like your jeans". (I was wearing a denim skirt and light colored shirt). I smiled and thanked him. I...

Skirt with men's size on label.

On a recent outing while skirted, I noticed that my denim skirt was size 14/32. I wear a size 14 skirt and size 32 or 34 pants. Has anyone else ever noticed men's sizes in their skirts? I haven't had a chance yet, but I plan to check all my other skirts for men's size on the labels.

Re: I finally wore a skirt in public

It really does get easier to go out skirted. I was always a "closeted" skirt and dress wearer. I would put on a skirt and hide out in my work shop and then have to put pants back on to go inside the house. After getting used to going out skirted, I no longer need to hide. But I unfortunate...

Re: National Skirt Day

I did make it out on National Skirt Day. Even went to a small shop that only had women in it, and a few bigger box stores along with the local mall. Disappointingly, I was the only one wearing a skirt.
All that shopping and I never did find a skirt that I liked.

Re: Am I Still Welcome Here?

You are most certainly still welcome here. I have tried wearing dresses, but unfortunately I do not look good in a dress. I'm sure that's because I'm a guy with no since of fashion. With skirts I just treat it as wearing shorts, with men's shirts, shoes and sometimes even a ballcap. I'll stick to we...

Re: let's list why we like skirts

Being a new member, I like to visit older post like this. I do find that skirts offer much more comfort and freedom of movement. I don't have the opportunity to wear one as often as I would like. With spring just around the corner, I hope to change that with more fishing trips, which I do solo. My w...

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

It was a really nice day yesterday here in east Kansas, with the temperature in the low 70s. I decided to go out shopping for a skirt. I stopped into the Goodwill store. I was wearing a lite blue denim skirt. I noticed a couple talking. Nothing was said to me and I couldn't hear them, but it was obv...

Re: easier to find skirt that fit than pants?

Have you tried looking in the boys section for pants? Being a shorty myself I've had luck there. I've also found nice skirts in the girls section of Walmart (not always suitable for public wearing). Sometimes I get lucky and find something I like there.

Thanks for the welcome and the quotation fix.

The Panama Canal was a great experience. My next bucket list cruise would be Australia.

Re: Hello from the Panama Canal.

Sounds like quite the adventure. The wife factor can certainly kill the skirted life. Last year I went to visit a friend staying nearby and at a camp site for 3 days. Wife had to stay home for her work. I as soon as I was a few miles from home I was in a skirt, most of the trip. I did change into t...
