Re: Kristi Noem's husband

Makes you think, if Mrs Mouse was a politician, Mouse could have been in a similar Daily Mail article…..

Re: To Those Who Wear Glasses---I Salute You!

Having detailed my journey from 50 years of glasses wearing to none https://www.skirtcafe.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=25639 my opinion of glasses has changed from things I need to see, to things I choose to wear for style or work reasons. So my glasses have now changed from essential to see, with bui...

Re: "How Can You Wear Those Heels?"

I concur, wear a fantastic skirt and some heels, people will notice the heels first and comment on them, way before getting to the skirt. I was on a platform in full latex, skirt and all, and the question asked was "how can you walk in those heels?" I used the same response as you "pr...

Re: Sequin Skirt?

Thank you Jeff, Yardstick and Barleymower. I am pleased that your wife is behind you on wearing sequins. The sun was shining later in the day so I thought the sequins might show up better.....Sequins need movement to work well. Nice to see the sun, wind still cold though. https://live.staticflickr.c...

Re: In Praise of Pencil Skirts

.................Why do I love wearing what seems a relatively impractical garment? Is it the close fitting? the neat trim look? the way a pencil skirt constantly reminds you that you are wearing a skirt? Possibly all of the above. Is it just me or do others find a particular delight in wearing a p...

Thank you John, I love these boots, even though they are work to put on and off. I thought the boots would limit the expanse of green and the shiny black matched the sparkly skirt.

Re: Sequin Skirt?

Looks good with the 'splash' of green :D I couldn't really tell if it was sequins or not. My monitor didn't pick up on that aspect. Could be the lighting, color, not sure which. If it WAS the red skirt, and those tights, the picture would've reminded me of Christmas colors :santa: Thank you Uncle A...

Re: Sequin Skirt?

Another fun find. I think there is something about dramatic outfits that tend to get more positive attention -- people intuitively know that you are intentionally making a statement; not merely some confused guy in a skirt. I have only one sequined skirt: https://photos.app.goo.gl/rmPuGvLPTM8np3yg8...

Re: Civil War era fashion

For big skirts/dresses from the past, whether connected with any civil war or not, I find this YouTube channel has so much material as to how to make and wear these type of garments.

Sequin Skirt?

So we have the red nails sorted, what about a sequin skirt? Now in my defence, this is all Amazon's fault.....When I wore trousers all the time, things offered to me in my email, would be DIY, model railway, tech, etc. Now I also get interesting skirts offered to me....... So a sequin skirt was dish...

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

......I definitely feel the low level pressure of looks, as you so accurately describe it, but it's usually some mix of: confusion, novelty, curiosity or interest. Very rarely does it feel like flat out disapproval. Or maybe I'm just choosing to look at things positively and missing the negativity....

Looks OK to me from the pictures. The more you sew, the better you become at sewing.....You are putting us all to shame with your level of production. Well done.

So it seems that for work you have skirts with mud colors. :D
On some building site that would be totally appropriate. :D
