Re: Unusual compliment

I find women are much more likely to pass opinion on my outfit when skirted than when I am wearing trousers.
Maybe they feel an affinity with skirted men that allows them the freedom to pass comment?

Tucked in shirts

I always wear my skirts with my shirt tucked in. If I'm wearing trousers, my shirt is always tucked in as well. I find that skirts offer an advantage over trousers for folks who prefer their shirts neatly tucked in. :) In private, one can lift up the skirt and pull the shirt back down straight. With...

Re: Skirt over pants

Seems like a sensible idea to wear a skirt made from an outer, windproof material with a fleece lining for warmth inside. The thread doesn't appear to mention making the outer, windproof fabric of the skirt, waterproof too but in a climate like here in the UK that might be a good idea? I think that...

Re: Skirt over pants

Scooter skirt . The forum thread title is "Scooter Skirt - probably more for the ladies" . To avoid the necessity of reading the thread on the e-scooter forum , here is a precis. The starter of the thread made up a long skirt from a windproof fabric and lined it with a warm fleece materia...

Would it be a good idea to move this thread to the "Advocacy & Mens Skirts In the News" section of SC? :)

Re: That rare male compliment

I was shopping in the town centre earlier today, skirted. A chap complimented me on my black, high block-heeled court shoes as he passed by me. :) I replied, "Thank You", loudly. I hope that he heard my response. The black court shoes have 3 1/2" (90mm) block heels and are the...

John
Just to be clear, Mark Wood Viper violins are available with fretted necks, fretless necks with fret markers embedded (phantom frets as Mark calls them) and fretless without any fret markers at all.

Lovely stroll through Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park this morning in denim skirt and black opaques, enjoying the winter sunshine. Amazing how the direct sun warms the legs. A welcome touch of apricity . Thank you for giving me the opportunity to do some research, TonautBrom. :) Apricity - ...

Re: Upskirting - Should the gender of the skirt wearer matter?

Can we please stop using the word “gender”? Gender and biological sex are entirely two different distinct things. The word to use in the title for this post is “biological sex”. Calm down Jamie001, When this thread originated(2018), "Gender" wasn't thought about as much as it is today(202...

Re: New Italian Designer making Ballet Flats and Mary Janes for Men

About a year ago I bought a pair of navy-blue MJs in a local charity shop - absolutely brand new and unworn. Inside the shoes they were marked: Easifit, size 9/42 (i.e. UK9, EU42), style name Kaitlyn. They are rather wide for me unless I add a fairly thick insole. The Easifit website mentions what ...
