Re: Spreading the Word
Ok, shoot me down from jumping on the bandwagon, but since we are all in a pedantic mood: I think you are referring to a mosque, Skip? I think it is Hindus who use a temple.
I'm kidding - strike that last comment from the record!

Re: Why Do Bad Guys Always Have Mohawks & Piercings
I still think the clean-cut suave look of Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter is infinitely more menacing than any guy with a mohawk. Speak for yourself r1g0r  but I know/have known a several guys with hawks as well as goth and punk sub-culture followers who are really nice people. I think your...

Re: Spreading the Word
For once, drawing attention to oneself would have positive logic. Bearing in mind how little (compared to other areas cancer strikes!) is actually spent on one of the biggest killers of blokes, it might just persuade a proportion to extend their comfort by wearing skirts more often. I'm with Merlin...

I found a fairly informative article on the wet-foot/dry-foot subject here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wet_feet,_dry_feet_policy

Re: The rate at which this moves
Would we be looking for the next edgy thing, looking to keep pushing at perceived boundaries? For my part, I think that might be the case, at least to some extent. Sasq, I have to agree with you a little bit. But the problem is where I live it is still too edgy. I would like the edges softened a bi...

Looking at the second video I can't figure out why they were making it a point of ridicule. He looked very good in his skirt, if only he wasn't so self conscious.

Re: Men skirted as men.
I guess it goes back to the old concept of respect. We do all have different opinions, but we really don't have have the right to tell others that this is how it MUST be. I am very much for the concept of wearing a skirt but have no interest in the more "femme" aspect. But where do you dra...

Re: Dinner with a friend's friends
A lot of the fear behind men going out wearing a skirt seems to stem from childhood intimidation and fear of breaking the social norms that are drilled into us all. I think you have basically hit the nail on the head. Boys wear blue, girls wear pink. Interestingly enough many gender 'roles' are bei...

Fareham, near Southampton? Now there's a coincidence - the head office of the company I work for is there. Not that I've ever visited it. I'm with the South African division.

Re: No Pants Day = Skirt Day
It's just a thought, but wearing a skirt or kilt with a t shirt declaring it to be "no pants day" is likely to result in lots of folks lifting the hem to check you're not cheating... Interesting thought Ian but I would opt to have skirt day on different day - then you can wear what you li...

Re: No Pants Day = Skirt Day
Gentleman, gentleman, calm down please! There is merit all sides of the argument even if we don't agree with each other's ideas. Of course wearing a skirt is an alternative to wearing trousers, but the people of no-pants day seem to have another idea in mind. Maybe they should have called it underwe...
