Re: Tartanista, London
I bought an acrylic one from them recently to replace a worn out one from "Get Shirty", when they used to have a web site. It took a bit of time to unpick the stitching that holds the pleats together, and it was a bit difficult to see how far this stitching went up towards the waist. Apart...

Re: Union Kilts - more reductions
I bought another one of their dark blue denim ones, as they were reduced. They have made a couple of improvements since the last one, a few years ago. The fabric is not as stiff, and the side pockets are about 1/2 inch wider, which makes it easier to get your wallet in. There is also no "Union ...

Re: Night shirt for men
Tim,
If you order from http://www.pukkapyjamas.co.uk/, as mentioned in the last post, you will not be disappointed.
I have bought two from these people, and they are ideal.
Good to hear you are back again.

Re: Utilikilt at the Eden Project
Mugman, My wife and I were staying at the Atlantic Bay Apartments last week, near the co-op. This is our third year at this location, which is adjacent to the beach. We usually just walk on the beach in the evening, which was just as well as it was a bit windy. A good week apart from the difficulty ...

Re: Utilikilt at the Eden Project
My wife and I visited there three times last year, and I was wearing my dark denim Union Kilt. I had two different people ask me where I got it from, luckily I always keep some of their business cards with me. I also had a man, who thought I was Scottish, ask me about it, while we were visiting The ...

Instakilt Success
The BBC have an interesting article.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/sou ... 958350.stm
Seems like the company have it all wrapped up.

I am sure that kilt purists will be horrified.

Q. Does the denim Kilts crease when you sit down ?? No, the material is quite heavy duty and does not easily crease. Mine has never needed ironing provided you hang it up as soon as its washed. The pleats are stitched in and can be just flattened while it is drying. I use a proper kilt hanger which...

Re: I have one too
I've had the blue Union Kilt for a while, and have also experienced many positive comments, including "Wicked Kilt". Which reminds me, I need to iron it because I washed it to try to shrink it a bit. I have found that washing it has made the fabric a bit softer but it still retains a very...
